Experienced Electricity Market Analyst Wanted
We are looking for an experienced electricity market analyst who wants to work on strategic issues that contribute to the development of Sweden's electricity system. With us, you will have a central role in setting the framework for long-term scenarios and contributing to the decisions that support an efficient, sustainable, and secure electricity system.
About the Position
As an electricity market analyst, you will be part of the System Planning unit, which is being established within the System Strategy department. The unit will have a collective responsibility for the long-term planning of the national electricity system and will lead the work to develop strategies for how the electricity system should evolve to meet society's needs for an economically efficient, sustainable, secure, and competitive electricity supply. We develop methods for socio-economic analysis and monitor goals for supply security and planning. In this role, you will contribute to shaping the unit's mission, methods, and working practices.
Your Responsibilities:
- Design, describe, and define the framework for scenarios about the future development of the power system and establish planning scenarios for Svenska kraftnät's long-term network planning.
- Analyze simulation results to draw conclusions about the development of the electricity system.
- Conduct environmental monitoring and analyze trends, policy instruments, technology, and market developments.
- Identify and analyze overarching choices and priorities for the electricity system based on risk assessments and socio-economic considerations.
You will be part of a unit with senior strategists, analysts, and investigators, currently consisting of about ten people but expected to grow further in the coming years. The work is carried out in close collaboration with colleagues within the unit and other parts of Svenska kraftnät.
About You

You see connections, make well-founded analyses, and have a holistic understanding related to the strategic direction. In collaborations, you are communicative and solution-oriented and enjoy working in a group to solve larger tasks efficiently.
We place great importance on your personal qualities.
You have a degree as a civil engineer or equivalent in electrical power, technical physics, energy systems, electrical engineering, or another relevant field deemed suitable by Svenska kraftnät. You also have:
